Soak Your Steak in Coffee (and Other Tips)

Not only does the coffee is a great pre-workout boost and amazing for us, but the use of coffee is beyond an easy way to wake up. You can take your favorite blend beyond breakfast and you can use it to tenderize and flavor steaks in place of high-sodium marinades. Or you can use the fresh coffee grounds as a tasty and smoky rub for grilling meats. Or you can round it out with a little coffee ice cream for dessert.

I am sure you all love the smell of a fresh pot brewing in the kitchen while rolling out of bed in the morning. The bold scent of the coffee is great for eliminating pesky household odors any time of the day when sprinkled in kitchen trash to fight that leftover funk. The grounds are used as a fast-acting scrub to remove the smell of onion and garlic from hands post-chopping.

If you are ready for a real wake-up, you need to combine a tablespoon of coffee grounds with a half-tablespoon of olive oil for an all-natural exfoliating facial scrub. For a fresh scent add some scented oil or let the hint of coffee after washing keep things a little more alert all day.

Plants also enjoy java boost. For a nitrogen-rich fertilizer sprinkle used coffee grounds around plants. It will help them grow, though coffee-flavored carrots might be little ways off.
