The benefits of lemon and baking soda are:
- It alkalizes the body – fights acidosis and facilitate the work of the kidneys;
- It improves the digestion – it fights gastroesophageal reflux due to the hydrochloric acid it contains;
- It purifies the body – it will detox the liver and provide the necessary dose of vitamin C and potassium.
The ingredients for this combination are 1 organic lemon, 1 teaspoon sodium bicarbonate baking soda, 8 oz of hot, but not boiling, clean, filtered water and 1 teaspoon of organic honey, but the last ingredient is optional.
The first thing you need to do is to add the baking soda and lemon juice into the glass of water, then stir it and drink it right away. You can consume this drink three or four times a day, but never on a full stomach because it can be counterproductive. You can consume it in the morning and before meals. This remedy should be taken for two weeks in a row, then rest two more.
But if you suffer from gastritis, hypertension, or heart issues, it is best not to take this remedy.
