ATTENTION: You Think That 120/80 Is A Normal Blood Pressure?! Here’s the Answer…
Many people suffer from high blood pressure or the medical term known for this issue, hypertension. The medical experts say that this is a common cardiovascular issue, and it affects men and women, and it can be life-threatening if you don’t treat it on time.
You need to keep your blood pressure under control because it is vital and as you grow older, it can become harder to manage. A study that is published in the Archives of Internal Medicine confirmed this.
The function of the arteries, kidneys and the entire body are negatively affected by hypertension, and if it’s not treated on time, it can result in heart or kidney failure, stroke, and other fatal conditions.
You should keep in mind that hypertension is usually treated with aggressive therapies, but it cannot be applied to all people and that means that hypertension medications for 50-year-olds and 80-year-olds are a different thing because of the different age groups which respond differently to treatment.
Almost everyone thinks that 120 over 80 is a normal blood pressure, and if it is higher than this that you need to visit your cardiologist immediately, but it is not true.
According to the new guidelines that are issued by the ESC Association, the normal pressure is 140 systolic and 90 diastolic.
But this does not apply to people with diabetes. For them, the limit is 130 over 80.
It was thought previously that if your blood pressure is 139 over 89, then you are already in hypertensive condition and you need to take meds immediately in order to avoid increased risk of heart attack or stroke.
