We all know what a 50-year-old body looks like because we live in one every single day. Even the latest anti-aging creams and capsules won’t make us look younger.

But there are plenty of things to do to look and feel great, and they won’t cost us hundreds of dollars a month. Here are seven tricks for anti-aging that every woman who is over 50 should use.

  1. Wear a genuine smile;

If you have a genuine smile on your face, it makes you a confident and happy person, and it also activates all of the good muscles in your face. There is a process called the facial feedback effect that when you smile, it can make you happier. And keep in mind that the happier you are, the more you will be able to engage in activities that keep your body and mind in great shape.

  1. Spend time with young people;

You will feel 10 years younger if you start playing in the park with a 5-year old because kids can teach you a lot about getting the most from life. If you don’t have young kids in your family, then consider volunteering at local youth center because that will make you happier and it may keep you feeling younger.

The best way to look and feel youthful is the exercise, combined with a healthy diet.

If you want to start running, you should try this: just go for a one-minute walk on the first day. Go for a walk two minutes the next day. You should continue this process until you are walking for 30 minutes at the end of the month. Then start running for the first minute and walking for the remaining 29 minutes. Continue this process and by the end of the second month, you will be running 30 minutes a day.

In our adult lives we spend a lot of time looking after other people, but in our 50s, it is time to start embracing our passions. If you start doing something you love, that will make you glow brighter knowing that you are making the world a better place, in your own special way.

If you need reasons, then the first one is that laughter is a natural mood and energy booster, and with the right friends on your side, you will engage in the healthy behaviors that will keep you feeling healthy. The second reason is that by surrounding yourself with good friends you will be reminded to be true to yourself, to love your aging body. Nothing is going to make you more perfect than you already are.
